Sonnetarium Winter 2012 Collection

Good morning! First of all, I want to say thank you to all of you guys for your birthday wishes yesterday! I had a wonderful day and a fun get-together with my family last night.

On to the polish, though! Today I'm sharing the Sonnetarium Winter 2012 Collection, plus one core shade that fits in nicely with the season.

Let's begin with Eight Nights. This vibrant blue-based polish sparkles with white and silver glitters was opaque in three coats for me. You may be able to get away with two, but I love the color and wanted it to be extra bold. This one is one of my favorites in the collection.

Lenten Rose is a glitter topper in a clear base. I've shown it here over China Glaze For Audrey. The white and iridescent glitters are a nice addition to the light pink. They make a lovely and delicate addition to any manicure.

Sugarplum is a purple jelly with pinkish-purple shimmer and purple holographic glitter pieces. I layered two coats of it over Essie Play Date in this swatch, though judging by the opacity reached here you could probably wear this alone at three coats. Sugarplum is a beautiful purple and I love the sprinkling of holographic glitter pieces.

Twelve Days is a vibrant red jelly with gold, silver, and white microglitters. I only needed two coats for the opacity below. This one is so sparkly that it was hard to photograph! I love that it's festive without being too in-your-face Christmasy.

Next up is Peppermint Kiss. I think a lot of you guys will just love this one. Its light pink (allllmost white) semi-opaque jelly base is accented with white, red, and green glitters in various sizes. There is a lot of glitter in this one. I decided to layer one coat of Peppermint Kiss over OPI Privacy Please in my swatch, though it can be built to opacity on its own in three coats.

Finally, we have Snowfall, which is actually a Sonnetarium core color. This glitter is crazy dense in a great way. It is primarily white glitters but is accented by small, iridescent pieces too. The iridescent glitters can look blue-pink at times... I think the angle of my nails in the photo and my choice of base made them show up orange here. I layered it over Cult Nails Flushed - can you believe how lovely these two look together?

Which ones are calling your name? I really love the variation in this collection, but that also makes it hard to pick a favorite!
