Yellow may not be a popular nail polish color, but I sure like it!
Today's nail art is a little simpler, but I really dig the way it turned out.
I started with a base of 3 coats of Illamasqua Load. It's a pretty buttery colored creme -- very light yellow -- and it does need all 3 coats to be completely even.
Then I taped off a stripe and painted on the second color, Finger Paints Lemon Sour. It's a pale yellow, but still a bit darker than Load.
Then, I didn't want to wait for Lemon Sour to dry, so I abandoned the taping and just freehanded on the final stripe using China Glaze Happy Go Lucky.
This looks is super subtle, but I'm into it!
I actually wasn't sure at first if I wanted to use this one for my "yellow day" so I did a second yellow mani. This was the first set of yellow nails I did, and I decided I ultimately liked them more. I won't be posting the alternate one today, but will instead put it in the vault and save it for a rainy day.
See ya tomorrow for some nail art that I'm reeeeeally excited about!
